The Parlor #1

Apartment 1 was the Parlor and most likely an office or library area. This unit features the oldest fireplace in Portland, a fully functioning kitchen with hidden amenities such as undermount refrigeration and an added bathroom. Yes, we have renovated the house to have running water, gas heat and electricity! I think even the most traditional of history buffs will appreciate the upgrades.

Stephens was a statesman, entrepreneur, real estate purveyor and Miner

He would have spent most of his time doing business in this part of the house.  There is actually two fireplaces here but one is still hidden within the wall of the bathroom. This unit is the flagship BnB for the house featuring the original 1860's trim, brass accoutrements and modern lighting with antique nods.

This one bedroom apartment features a well appointed Kitchen with:

Quartz Countertops

Undermount Refrigerator and Freezer

Gas Range and microwave

Gas Fireplace

Bathroom is in a 1900’s charm with original lorraine plates and vintage door handles. The bedroom features a Federalist California King bedroom furniture set which was most often shipped to the Oregon Country. The living room has a chesterfield couch and leather chair with Frame TV over the fireplace where you can enjoy Historical Photos curated of the era or pick Art to display from our library subscription.

The Kitchen Ell #3

Apartment 3 was the Kitchen Ell attached to the back of the house.  This is the biggest unit with 560 Square feet available to use as a guest. The renovation to this part of the house was extensive in 1902 when the house was moved to its current location.

Since the house was built before the modern kitchen this Unit was built to house a fully modern kitchen.

We decided this would be our more contemporary unit as it has some interesting features that you wouldn’t see in a pioneer home. Some of the decor and trim will be reminiscent of 1902, and the 20’s as well as the original exterior door. The kitchen was turned into a separate apartment in the late 1920’s.

This one bedroom apartment features a well appointed Kitchen with:

Quartz Countertops

Refrigerator with ice maker

Gas oven with griddle

Microwave and Dishwasher

Bathroom is in a 1900’s charm with schoolhouse lights and 20’s art deco door handles. The bedroom features a Vintage carved Rococo bedroom furniture set which was very much in style in the 1860’s Italianate houses. The living room has a tufted couch and chair with a large console outfitted with Apple TV.
